Andrew qualified in 1995 and joined Lawrence Stephens in April 1999 as an assistant within the litigation department. He was made up to partner in July 2003.

Andrew advises extensively in relation to contractual disputes, breach of warranty claims, contentious employment disputes, debt recovery and enforcement, defamation proceedings, insolvency-related matters (both personal and corporate), directors’ disqualification proceedings, intellectual property disputes, partnership and shareholders’ disputes, personal injury claims, professional negligence claims and property-related litigation (including contentious landlord and tenant disputes).

Andrew is married with two children and lives in North London. He is a long-suffering Spurs supporter and, more recently, a Watford season ticket holder. When not acting as an unpaid chauffeur for his two teenage sons, Andrew enjoys watching live sport and playing golf.

Experience highlights 

• Advising a Premier League footballer in relation to High Court proceedings arising from a contractual dispute with his former agent.
• Obtaining injunctions against the former directors of a software development business in relation to both the theft of confidential information and the establishment of a competing business in breach of post-termination restrictive covenants.
• Advising property developers in connection with a claim for damages against their building contractors for defective works and breach of contract.
• Acting for a property trading company in relation to a disputed claim for substantial dilapidations on expiry of a lease of commercial premises.
• Advising a client in connection with claims (in both the Employment Tribunal and the High Court) against her former employer for unfair dismissal and sex and race discrimination.
